Hotels in Rakhine are preparing to open in advance of the monsoon season.

Some hotels in Rakhine State are preparing to serve guests all year.Some hotels on the popular Ngapali Beach have been reported to be fully booked for this month.

 

 

 

 

“In Ngapali, several hotels are full of bookings for local and foreign tourists even in the pre-monsoon season, in May,” said Tin Htun Aung, Director, Rakhine State Directorate of Hotels and Tourism. Some hotels are preparing to close in the third week of May to avoid the bad weather. Some are preparing to run by opening 1/2 to 1/3 of hotel rooms this year, with those that are vulnerable to bad weather being shuttered.”

 

During the Thingyan holidays, the state of Rahine had nearly 15,900 tourists.Travelers are also interested in seeing new areas, which is why they went to ManAung Island, which debuted in January.

 

“During the Thingyan vacations from 9 to 17 April, 15,917 local and 260 international guests visited Rakhine State,” stated Tin Htun Aung, Director, Rakhine State Directorate of Hotels and Tourism. During April, 3,195 people visited Mrauk-U, while roughly 100 people visited MyanAung Island.”

 

 

In March, 18,883 local and foreign visitors came to Rakhine State, with over 2,800 of them visiting Mrauk-U.
