On Saturday, Union Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe met with Dagon University faculty members and examiner instructors for the matriculation examinations in Yangon.
The Union Minister emphasized the need of allocating sufficient cash for the purchase of subject-specific reference materials as well as the expansion of the library.
He also promised to help with research, including books and journals, as well as internet access and other research-related equipment.
He also advised that more demonstrators and lecturers be hired to fill the open positions. Later, the attendees discussed academic issues, teacher promotion for primary and middle school teachers, staff issues, and the necessity for staff housing.
Later, the Union Minister paid a visit to Yankin Education Degree College, where he spoke with first-year students pursuing a Bachelor of Education degree.
He advised everyone to work hard to improve their skills in their chosen fields. Later, the Union Minister went to Yangon University to see the process of examining matriculation test response papers.
