MOH Union Minister met with university faculty to discuss human resource development.

On the 28th and 29th of April, Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win met with rectors, deans, medical superintendents, instructors, and officials from the Universities of Medicine (2), Dental Medicine (Yangon), Medical Technology (Yangon), and Pharmacy (Yangon).

 

The Union Minister stated that the development of health human resources is critical due to the strong demand for public healthcare services and treatment. He underlined the need of developing human resources that will help the country and its citizens.

 

 

 

 

In the approaching academic year, a new medicine university admittance method will be implemented. Those who get stipends from the government must always work as government employees for the benefit of the country and the people.

 

He asked on all relevant authorities from the medical-related university’s health human resource department to work together.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Later, the attendees discussed instructional assistance materials, medical supplies, and administrative issues. Later, the Union minister toured the individual institutions’ classrooms and teaching assistance items.
