Timber, consumer items, and antimony ore ore were confiscated as part of an illegal trade investigation

The legislation is being enforced against illegal commerce, which is overseen by the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.

 

In Aunglan Township, Thayet District, joint inspection teams headed by the Forest Department and supervised by the Magway Region Anti-Illegal Trade Task Force recovered sawn ironwood timber on April 26. In Minbu Township, Minbu District, 30 sacks of illicit crude oil, each containing 10 gallons, were seized on the same day.

 

 

 

 

The combined inspection team also confiscated five tonnes of ore antimony metal in Mudon Township on April 27 under the supervision of the Mon State Anti-Illegal Trade Task Force. Illegal distilled liquor was also seized by a joint inspection team made up of Myanmar police officers working under the direction of the Chin State Anti-Illegal Trade Task Force.

 

Similarly, officers at the Mon State’s Mayanchaung checkpoint confiscated illegally imported M-150 energy drink bottles from an express bus traveling from Myawady to Yangon, while officials at the Myanmar Industrial Port Container Checkpoint seized textiles that were not stated in the Import Declaration.

 

 

 

 

In the Pyu and Yedashe townships, the Bago Region Forest Department recovered illicit wood on April 28. As a result, eleven arrests (with a total of 20.43 million Kyats) were made on April 26 and 28.
